We first had individual evaluations on a mindmap tackling the subject "Rethink moving abroad experience for students thanks to AI". Our first teamwork was aimed to decide on which projects we wanted to work. We have been very interested in working on an app providing temmporary jobs for international students. Our app can register your CV and propose you different jobs near your university or your accomodation.
Our team started by using MindMeister which allowed us to tackle the subject "Rethink moving abroad experience for students thanks to AI". The exercise consited in expressing freely our thoughts and making links between the ideas in order to find an interesting angle to continue our project. One of our point is that students may have the curiosity to travel abroad and to disover new aspects of life, but they don't necessarly have the money in order to live cumfortably. The idea of creating an app which would enable students to find a job abroad then came.
After deciding what we were going to do, we made a first prototype on Figma. We designed the app, we chose the colours and the design of JobSeeker. We presented this prototype during a lesson. We had feedbacks from our teacher and other students.
Taking into account the feedbacks, we refined our prototype and made a mockup. We have better designed the questionnaire. The design was too simple so we decided to create a prototype that was more user-friendly.
Then we had this mockup tested by friends. They made us many interesting feedbacks. Click here to see an example of one feedback.
These feedbacks helped us to refine our mockup. We made it more user-friendly. We finally arrived to the last version of our project : the last mockup of the app.
Our app can still be improved.
It could be great that users can tell about their experience on employers, and employers can tell about their experience on employer. If the working experience is good, students can be given a recommendation by the employer and the employer could become more attractive for students. If there too many issues with a student or an employer, a moderating team can be in charge to ban the user from the app in order to prevent another bad experience.
We could also create a social network that could be used both by employers and students. Employers can discover close colleagues and students can meet other foreign students ! It would also be interesting to link this social media to LinkedIn.
